Andria Vidler - Allwyn Names Andria Vidler as UK Chief Executive

Allwyn has announced the appointment of Andria Vidler, a director at 888, as the new Chief Executive of its UK business. Vidler will take over from Robert Chvátal, who has been serving as the interim CEO of Allwyn UK since the departure of David Craven in January 2023. Craven had held the role for 18 months, from July 2021.
Chvátal will continue in his main position as Allwyn's Group CEO.
As CEO, Vidler will lead Allwyn UK as it prepares to take control of the National Lottery in February 2024. Allwyn was awarded the fourth National Lottery license in September 2022, ending Camelot's 28-year tenure. Allwyn then acquired Camelot's UK operations in November of the same year.
Vidler's previous roles include being the CEO of marketing production business Tag Worldwide. She has also served as the CEO of Centaur Media and EMI Music in the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, Vidler held senior positions with Bauer Media, Magic Radio, Capital Radio, and worked in marketing and business development at the BBC.
She has also served as a non-executive board member at Gamesys from June 2018 to November and has been a non-executive board member at 888 since June 2022. However, she will step down from her role at 888 due to her new position at Allwyn.
Vidler expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, "This is such an exciting opportunity to ensure The National Lottery, a hugely loved UK brand that delivers immense benefits to society, is in the best shape possible for the future. I can't wait to get to work alongside partners and colleagues from across our Allwyn and Camelot teams to make this vision a reality."
Allwyn UK Chair Justin King also expressed his excitement about Vidler's appointment, emphasizing her expertise in helping entertainment brands adapt to a data-enabled, multichannel landscape. Lord Mendelsohn, Executive Chair of 888, also congratulated Vidler on her new role and thanked her for her significant contributions during her time at 888.
